A long awaited Sony PS4 reveal may be around the corner, but it looks like Sony may have time to squeeze out one last notable PS3 console release before attentions switch over to next-generation. A white super slim console has been discovered over in Canada, with Sony aiming to tempt new PS3 buyers with a whopping 500GB of storage and a very nice PS Plus incentive thrown in for good measure.
It?s only natural for the best deals to come out at the end of a console?s lifecycle and this could be one of the best new PS3 bundles we seen over the last six months. Canadian consumers may be in for a treat especially, as the white version of the latest PS3 model could be releasing exclusively before anywhere else.
Images have turned up over at Best Buy Canada, referencing a 500GB white model, with a free one year?s subscription to PS Plus. That means that you won?t have to worry about picking up some games along with the console, as the subscription to PS Plus will allow you to download a collection of games for free, every single month for 12 months.
There?s a lovely looking white DualShock3 controller thrown in there as well, all for the price of $300 Canadian dollars. So far, there has been no information to suggest that this console is on the way to US or Europe, so it?s exclusive to Canada for the time being and will start shipping after January 27 according to Best Buy?s website.
We?ve seen a lot of criticism over the super slim design, but we don?t think it looks that bad ? although the flimsy PS3 disc tray is questionable we have to say. Are you interested in picking one of these fancy white models up, or is it crazy to drop $300 for this when the Sony PS4 could be out at the end of the year?
